“Team” is well and truly the theme of the HC Retreat this fall. Held on Wednesday, Sep 5, 2018, the event was jointly supervised by Dr. Yaning QI and Mr. Johnny Siu Lun CHAN and brought together two sections (HONR1002 and HONR1003) of Class 2021 for an entire day of fun at the Grand Coloane Resort near Hac Sa Beach.
After being treated to a delicious lunch, participants engaged in a series of team-building activities that lasted the whole afternoon. With the support of the supervisors and seniors from Classes 2019 and 2020, students overcame mental and cultural barriers to make their afternoon one of friendship, synergy and joy.
“It was fun and meaningful as we got a chance to make acquaintance with our HC classmates and build a stronger sense of HC community,” reflected a participant after the retreat.
The Retreat comes only once a semester and lasts for a day, but it unlocks a critical window for students to come together and create bonds that last.
