Short description of project
This multi-disciplinary project aims to implement a miniaturized nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer and perform advanced multi-dimensional spectroscopic measurements with a customized integrated circuit (IC) and a permanent magnet. The IC miniaturizes the footprint and power consumption of the electronics and the portable magnet reduces the overall dimension of the platform, rendering the NMR platform as a viable analytical tool outside the centralized laboratory. We target to use the developed platform to analyze the structure of chemicals such as ethanol and ethyl formate. Also, we aim to use the platform to quantify the biomolecule such as DNA and protein within the samples.
