It is a great pleasure for Honours College students to be invited to represent the University of Macau to visit the Art Exhibition at Grande Praca of MGM Macau on 15th and 16th October, 2011.
This Art Exhibition, which lasts from 30th September to 16th October, 2011, is a join collaboration of MGM Macau and Mr. Charles Chauderlot, a foreign artist who was exceptionally invited by the Chinese authorities to paint at the restricted areas in the Forbidden City. This is the first time to showcase all eighty-one paintings of Forbidden City series in China together with two valuable antique Imperial Costumes of Qing Dynasty.
The students were divided into eight groups and visit the exhibition in two days; in order to let students understand artist’s painting technique, the painting material and medium that were applied and the stories behind the art pieces; the organizer has prepared guided tour for the students while appreciating the exhibition.
All in all, this is a precious opportunity for HC students to appreciate world renowned art pieces and to increase their cultural awareness. They all enjoyed a memorable time in the exhibition.
