On the August 17, the Honours College lobby came alive with a bubbling sense of excitement in the lobby. A score or more of second year students, with faces beaming, stood in line while waiting to complete their Honours College registration process.
After long and careful consideration and selection, the Honours College (HC) of the University of Macau (UM) warmly welcomed 48 new members of the Class of 2019 into the HC Family. Sitting in circles, the student helpers from various faculties of the University, waited in the multifunctional rooms, chatting away with the new HC family members while awaiting for the beginning of the registration talk.
Prof. Kai Meng MOK , the Dean of the Honours College, spoke a few words to the students about the training and course within the HC. Besides explaining the mission and courses in the future, he also spoke of the challenges they may face in the coming years, though reassured them that through unity they will overcome them all.
In the coming years, the Honours College Sophomores continue to follow the footsteps of the cohorts before, training themselves according to the traditions of the University and the College to become solid pillars of the future society.
