On Sunday, January 14, the general public had a chance to explore different facilities, faculties, departments, residential colleges at the University of Macau (UM) through the UM Open Day in both Macao and Hengqin.
Together with the Honours College Student Association (HCSA), interactive games, introductory videos, photo booths, photo exhibition, and a short presentation were hosted to the public audience at the E1 University Gallery. Approximately one thousand visitors participated in the games and redeemed points collected for our souvenirs.
The Dean of Honours College (HC), Prof. Rose Neng LAI came to HC booths seeing how the activities went and she was pleased with the performance of the HCSA in attracting visitors to get to know HC, and the positive comments from visitors. On the same occasion, the President of HCSA, Ms. Jasmine Liyu DENG stated “This is a breakthrough for the University of Macau connecting Hengqin and Macao in the Open Day. We, representing Honours College, are super glad to be a part of this meaningful event witnessing the huge success of the University of Macau.”
Throughout the day, visitors explored UM’s world-class facilities, libraries and galleries, heard from current students, met enthusiastic teachers through a series of information sessions and activities and enjoyed multiple entertainment.
