On April 12, 2022, the Honours College Student Association collaborated with the charitable organizations OXFAM to hold the fruit discard workshop in HC Multifunction Room.  In this workshop, students learned how to transform disposed fruits into healthy fruit jams.

Concerning the fact that millions of people are still suffering from starvation nowadays, it was necessary for our students to recognize the severity of this global catastrophe and appraise and initiate the solutions regarding how to tackle it in the future. This workshop was a marvelous occasion to raise the students’ awareness of the food shortage problem with the aim of  enhancing their understanding of how to achieve sustainability, and students would learn how to make healthy homemade jams via participating in this meaningful and informative activity.
